Learn to swim! Make a new friend! Be part of the team!
The Kellogg Club Swim Team has a rich history of being the cornerstone of the summer season at the pool. Over 85% of our children are on the swim team. For a new member this is a great way to make new friends and immerse your family in the KC culture.
We are a summer program with goals to have fun, learn skills and be a team member. Our program is instructional, but we also have state and nationally ranked swimmers.
The 2017 Kellogg Club Swim team had a record setting year! With 73 members led by our Coaches Amanda, Victoria, and Ina, the team was able to bring home their first trophy in 20 years.

It was an extra special season and win due to our good luck charm, Hedda Sivertsson and the dedication of the season to Hedda and her fight against cancer. The Kellogg Club Swim team finished their regular season meets with an 8-1 record and shared the Jockey Hollow League dual meet trophy and their record with Roxiticus Country Club.
Despite the many swimmers who medaled at the Round Robin Championship, we finished in second place just shy of Roxiticus. Winning was great, but the camaraderie felt amongst our swimmers and swim team parents was even more satisfying.

Swim Team Registered Chaperone
A Swim Team Registered Chaperone is an adult who transports a Swim Team Member to/from a Swim Team practice and monitors the children during the practice. Members who have children participating on the Swim Team and require a Swim Team Registered Chaperone are required to pre-register their Swim Team Registered Chaperone with the Swim Team.
To gain entry to the Pool Area the Swim Team Member and the Registered Chaperone are to sign in with the guard on duty, and if the Registered Chaperone is on the Swim Team Registered Chaperone list, the Chaperone will be admitted free of charge to observe the Swim Team practice up to 15 minutes before and after the practice. The Swim Team Registered Chaperone free access to the pool area is solely to accommodate transport of children to Swim Team practice. Members who have Swim Team Registered Chaperones are required to advise the Chaperone of the Kellogg Club Pool Rules and Regulations.
Swim Team Coaches
Big Changes this year: Coach Colin Kostyak will not be back. Lots of change in his life! Marriage and a new job have limited his time for coaching.
New Head Coach Amanda Scott who is well known to all and is returning for her 3rd season
After working as an assistant coach for the past two seasons, Amanda is excited to be acting as our new head coach. Amanda started summer swimming at seven years of age and began swimming for the YMCA when she was nine years old. Amanda swam on the Morristown High School Varsity team for four years, and she currently competes on the club team at the University of Southern California. Amanda has a level 1 certification from ASCA (American Swimming Coaches Association).
Victoria Ratliff –Second year Coach
Victoria Ratliff- is a senior swimmer at Morristown High School, where she received the Len Lesko Scholarship for leadership. She is a school record holder and State Meet of Champion winner. Victoria has been swimming competitively since she was 6 years old at the YMCA. She has also been a swim instructor at Kids2kids for the past 6 years working with special need kids. Victoria is off to Coastal Carolina University to swim but more importantly study Marine Biology.
Ina Gonzales – New Coach
Ina is in her first year as coach. She has been swimming competitively since she was 14. She currently swims for the Greater Morristown YMCA and has been team captain for the past 2 years on this team. Ina swam on Mount Saint Dominic Academy's Varsity Swim Team for the past 4 years and was team captain her senior year. She will be attending Fordham University at the Rose Hill Campus for their Pre-Medicine program. Welcome Ina!
Apprentice Coaches- last year we initiated an apprentice program for coaches. These are unpaid positions. They are usually High School Swimmers that want to enter the coaching profession and this is a great way to build their resume. Given our large number of young swimmers these coaches are vital to our swimmers learning. If you are interested contact Coach Amanda.
