MAY 25, 1947 – OCTOBER 15, 2020

Mitchell H. Cobert, of Morristown, NJ, a prominent attorney and former president of the Morris County Bar Association, passed away on October 15, 2020 after a five-month battle with leukemia. A devoted family man, Mitchell is survived by his wife Kathryn; his children Jessica & Craig Smith, Lauren Cobert and Max & Emily Cobert; his grandchildren Zachary Smith, Samantha Smith and Jackson Cobert; his siblings Tamara & Edward Faggen and Jonathan & Wendy Cobert; and dozens of close cousins, nieces and nephews.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider a donation in Mitchell’s memory to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, or The American Cancer Society,

About the Virtual Memorial Service:

Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 11:00 AM EST.

The live webcast will be broadcast online by the funeral home, Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel. You will not need a meeting link and passcode for this webcast. Simply pull up the webpage on Sunday: contribute to the “Memories” section of the page. The family will treasure these memories for years to come.

About the Graveside Ceremony:

The graveside ceremony will only be for close family. There will not be a virtual component.

About the Virtual Shiva:

Sunday, October 18, 2020 from 7:00-9:00 PM EST.

There will be no in-person shiva. Our rabbi from Temple B’Nai Or will be leading a virtual shiva service. The virtual shiva will be accessible to anyone with the meeting link, however you will need to register in advance. To do so, please use this link: registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. The family will be observing shiva through Wednesday, October 21, 2020. Due to COVID restrictions, we are limiting any in-person visits to outside areas.
